Difference between demi and balconette bra
We already understand the importance of knowing the right fit. It literally makes all the difference and I can’t stop saying that enough! However, matching the correct bra with your outfit is equally important. Consider it like picking out shoes for your outfit; sometimes you opt for high heels, and other times flip-flops suit your ensemble more. So having a range of bra styles can help you dress your chest for various occasions.
With a hope to eliminate any confusion, I’ll be telling you about the difference between demi and balconette bra.
What is a demi bra?
A demi bra is somewhat low and covers about 3/4th of your breast. It mostly plunges quite low to show cleavage and give you an enhanced neckline. You’ll find that the shoulder straps are set widely apart. Since the top of the cups are low and the straps are far apart, demi cup bras go very well with a low-cut, scoop neck or wide necklines.
What is a balconette bra?
Well interestingly, it is a type of demi cup bra with the cups so low that it only just covers your nipples. This allows you to wear fairly low-cut clothing. The design of a balconette bra usually has a more of a horizontal line along the top of the cups. This makes it quite different from a regular demi bra, which creates a V shape between the breasts. A balconette bra can also be called balcony bra.
So, the one thing both these bras have in common is the low-cut cups, underwire, and quite widely set straps. The design of these bras makes them very supporting and flattering.
